An Introduction to Earth Alchemy
Updated: May 14, 2020
Hello and welcome! How exciting, it's officially launch day!
I just wanted to pop on here and quickly write about Earth Alchemy and my intentions from here on out. My aim with Earth Alchemy is to create natural, organic and eco-friendly products that work with the body, not against it. After working in the cosmetics industry, I was awoken to the many lies we are fed to believe. From the realisation that products can be labelled natural even when they're full of synthetic ingredients as long as it was originally a natural source, to the lie that we need to constantly be washing and scrubbing our faces to keep bacteria at bay (more on these topics later). I've had a long, personal battle with various skin conditions from acne to dermatitis and it wasn't until I stopped using commercial products religiously that my body started to improve. It was from these recipes that I've adapted over the years which helped me on my journey. It is my hope that I can help others with these products too.
I have a holistic belief that our skin is an external manifestation of our what's really going on internally. I believe that the body has perfect ability to harmonise and heal itself. However, with our modern toxic environment, often it can struggle. Hence, it can be very beneficial to use products topically to help ease symptoms while the body rebalances. That is where Earth Alchemy comes in. These products are made with the intention for exactly that. Although, I highly recommend seeing a practitioner such as an acupuncturist or naturopath to help determine the internal imbalance and help regain harmony within the body.
Now because I use organic ingredients and I don't add any preservatives, it really limits what I can produce and gift to others. I am in the process of putting together a book filled with at home diy recipes that I continuously use throughout the year. My intention is to help you regain your own sovereignty and realise that simplistic living with the earths materials is more than manageable, it's nurturing and full-filling.
